Chiplun Half Marathon 2026 includes an official virtual category for runners across India who cannot attend the physical race in Maharashtra. The virtual edition shares the event's Run to Save Water theme but is completed on the participant's own route.

One-day virtual run

Complete the selected 5 km, 10 km or 21.097 km on 27 December 2026. The official site says the virtual distance must be completed on that date, with participants choosing their own safe route, including outdoor running or treadmill activity.

Track the activity and submit the result online for verification. This listing does not assume cumulative multi-day completion because the official virtual page defines a single race day.

Entry and rewards

IndiaRunning currently lists each virtual category at INR500. Verified virtual finishers receive a finisher medal and electronic finisher certificate. Physical-race prize money, timing-chip services and on-site benefits do not apply unless separately stated for the virtual category.

The event is organised by Sangharsha Krida Mandal. The dedicated runchiplun.in virtual page and IndiaRunning registration independently agree on the virtual format, event date and 5K/10K/half-marathon options. Current event coverage also identifies the water-conservation theme and organiser contact details. This provides a strong event identity and registration chain, though ARC has not independently audited fulfilment.
