Indoor Steps Challenge Malaysia 2026

Indoor Steps Challenge 2026 is a Malaysia-based virtual walking and indoor-activity challenge from Virtual Run People. It is running-related rather than a conventional race: participants register for a step target and can accumulate it across multiple sessions.

Choose a step target

The published categories are 10,000 steps, 20,000 steps and 50,000 steps. The organiser states a conversion of 1,300 steps = 1 km, and allows participants to split the target across several sessions.

Walking around the home, treadmill walking and other indoor walking are explicitly promoted. Activity can be tracked with apps such as Strava, Runkeeper or Google Fit, then screenshots are emailed together for verification.

Registration and completion

The challenge period runs through 10 January 2027, with registration closing on 20 December 2026. Early Bird pricing ends on 15 December. The public event page lists an overall fee range of RM64-RM84, while destination-specific postage is RM10 West Malaysia, RM20 East Malaysia and RM40 Singapore.

Finisher entitlements

After accepted completion, participants receive a metal finisher medal, dry-fit finisher shirt and e-certificate. A long-sleeve shirt upgrade costs RM10. Shipping begins in batches from 31 January 2027.

Credibility

The event is published by Virtual Run People through Howei, with a live registration page and full result-submission, shipping, replacement and refund terms. The same organiser has multiple current virtual events on Howei and RaceXasia. This provides a coherent organiser/platform history but is not an independent fulfilment audit.
