Okinawa Online Marathon Japan 2027

Okinawa Online Marathon is the Okinawa Marathon Executive Committee's virtual challenge for runners taking part on their own routes. Its two-week activity window is separate from the physical Okinawa Marathon weekend. A virtual entry does not grant access to the physical race course or its event services.

Build a marathon-distance total

Accumulate at least 42.195 km from 15 to 28 February 2027. There is no limit on the number of activities used to reach the total, so it need not be completed as a single continuous marathon.

Record activity through TATTA, linked to the same RUNNET account used for entry. Only Running and Trail Run activities qualify. Walking, hiking, cycling and treadmill sessions are excluded, and manual distance entry is generally not accepted. Connect a compatible GPS watch before starting and confirm that the virtual event appears in TATTA.

All eligible activity must be synchronised into TATTA by 23:59 Japan time on 28 February. A run that crosses either boundary of the event period is excluded. Test recording in advance and allow time for watch synchronisation, rather than leaving the final upload to the last minute. The organiser also requires the relevant TATTA activity and training-ranking visibility settings to be enabled.

Entry and package selection

Entrants must be at least 16 years old and register individually using their own RUNNET account. Registration is scheduled to close on 7 February at 23:59 Japan time, or earlier if capacity is reached. Under-18 applicants have restricted payment methods on RUNNET.

The three packages cover the same distance and completion conditions. The supporter package has no participation merchandise, but still includes a medal after verified completion. The other choices add either a canvas tote bag or an event T-shirt. Select the package, size and colour carefully: changes after entry are not accepted.

Geographic and delivery checks

The organiser describes participation on routes across Japan. The reviewed rules do not clearly establish an overseas entry or international delivery option. Entrants outside Japan should obtain confirmation before paying; worldwide participation is not assumed here.

There are no competitive awards. The earned medal and online completion certificate are completion rewards, not access to a future physical race.
