RUN as ONE - GLOBAL Virtual Run Series 2026/2027: 6th Challenge, Japan

The sixth RUN as ONE - GLOBAL Virtual Run Series challenge is Tokyo Marathon Foundation's worldwide remote half-marathon round for October 2026. Participants choose their own routes and record the required distance through the designated virtual-run system.

Complete a half marathon remotely

The event runs from 07:00 JST on 17 October to 17:00 JST on 25 October 2026. Complete at least 21.0975 km either in one recorded activity or cumulatively across multiple activities during that window.

There is no fixed physical course or shared start line. The official virtual platform must be set up and synchronised in advance according to Tokyo Marathon Foundation instructions.

Entry status and fees

Registration ran from 2 October at noon until 12 October at 17:00 JST and is now closed. Guest entry was JPY1,500 including tax. ONE TOKYO GLOBAL members could enter the series round free of charge.

Prize conditions

Thirty finishers will be selected by random drawing for a guaranteed but non-complimentary RUN as ONE Tokyo Marathon 2028 entry right. A separate complete-finisher programme for ONE TOKYO GLOBAL members who complete all ten series events offers another 50 Tokyo Marathon 2028 entry rights by random drawing.

These are entry rights only: race fee, travel and accommodation are not included. Completing this virtual round does not guarantee a physical Tokyo Marathon place.

Credibility

The event is published by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation across the TMF VIRTUAL RUN site, official Tokyo Marathon news and the Foundation's event calendar. These matching institutional sources provide a strong organiser trail.
