Four Sacred Beasts Dragon Soar Hong Kong 2026

Four Sacred Beasts Dragon Soar is the opening physical race of the Run Da Events 2027 Four Sacred Beasts trail series, held on Sunday 20 December 2026. The series year is 2027, but this first round is correctly dated December 2026. Both courses start and finish at Tai Tam Barbecue Area Site 2 in Tai Tam Country Park on Hong Kong Island.

Trail courses and timings

The advertised 20K route is approximately 19.54 km with 783 metres of climbing. It starts at 8:30 am Hong Kong time and has a 1:30 pm finish deadline. The official course map shows checkpoints at Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir Barbecue Area Site 3 around 6.7 km and Quarry Pass Pavilion around 10 km, with reservoir-side paths, forest trails and substantial climbs.

The advertised 10K route is approximately 8.91 km with 267 metres of climbing. It starts at 9:15 am and has a 12:30 pm finish deadline. It includes a checkpoint near Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir around 6.7 km. These are the organiser's trail category labels rather than certified road-race distances. Registration and practical information

Standard single-race fees are HK$450 for the 10K and HK$530 for the 20K, with an additional 7% booking-platform charge. Standard participant entitlements include an event T-shirt and finisher medal. Multi-event registration bundles offer different pricing and benefits. Check the organiser's live booking page for availability.

Race-pack collection is scheduled for 17 and 18 December, from noon until 7 pm, at Flat B, third floor, Good Luck Industrial Building, 105 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon. Paid race-day shuttle departures are listed from Macpherson in Mong Kok at 6:30 am for HK$80, and Admiralty at 6:45 am for HK$60.

Mandatory equipment includes a visible race bib, a bottle holding at least 500 ml, and a reusable cup or container. Participants should bring their own utensils for refreshments; the organiser does not provide disposable containers at checkpoints. Water, snacks and sports drinks are shown on the current route maps. Check weather, trail conditions and any updated organiser notices before travelling.

Dragon Soar is a distinct race in a series with subsequent physical rounds at Tai Tong on 31 January 2027 and Tai Mo Shan on 14 February 2027. A separate virtual activity is planned for March.
