Roorkee Half Marathon 2026 - Uttarakhand, India

The Roorkee Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026, bringing civilian participants together with personnel from the Bengal Engineer Group & Centre (Bengal Sappers). Co-organised with the Roorkee Cantonment Board, the event commemorates the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces, including the 1971 Indo-Pak war, as Vijay Diwas approaches. Course and atmosphere

Organisers describe a relatively flat road course through Roorkee's historic canal-side corridors. The routes leave Pavilion Ground, follow the tree-lined stretch towards SDM Chowk and Canal Road, and extend towards the Solani Aqueduct for the shorter timed distance and Piran Kaliyar for the half marathon. • 05:00: assembly and reporting; organisers recommend arriving by 05:15.
• 05:45: organised warm-up.
• 06:00: 21.1K half-marathon flag-off, minimum age 16.
• 06:15: 10K flag-off, minimum age 14.
• 06:30: 5K community fun-run flag-off, minimum age 12.
• 09:00: prize presentation, refreshments and music at the finish festival.

The half marathon and 10K have chip timing and men's/women's age-group divisions. Organisers advertise awards for the leading five participants in the competitive distances, along with consolation prizes, but do not publish a reliable final payout table. The 5K is a recreational option rather than a competitive prize-distance race. All entrants under 18 need parental consent.

Expo, preparation and registration

The organiser advertises an in-person expo and bib collection from 23 to 28 November 2026, daily 10:00–19:00, at Pavilion Ground. Bring your registration confirmation and government photo identification. The organiser states there will be no on-the-spot registration at the expo and that entries are non-refundable.
