Waqf Run Jakarta 2026

Waqf Run 2026 brings runners, walkers and supporters together at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in East Jakarta for a community-focused 5K with an environmental purpose. Organised by Badan Wakaf Indonesia (BWI), the event connects physical wellbeing with wakaf, a charitable endowment intended to deliver lasting benefits.

Run for a greener future

This is a non-timed 5K fun run, designed to welcome newcomers and community participants rather than rank finishers by speed. The organiser is targeting 1,000 participants. The run takes place inside the TMII cultural park, with the final course map to be confirmed by the organiser following venue and technical arrangements.

A portion of every registration contributes to a forest waqf programme, supporting the conservation and stewardship of endowed forest land. The initiative promotes ecological restoration, agroforestry and longer-term local livelihoods. BWI says this year's project follows previous Waqf Run initiatives in 2024 and 2025.

On the day

Runners should be at TMII in good time for the 6:00 am WIB start on Sunday 29 November. The event window runs until 9:00 am. As this is a non-competitive activity, there is no published race timing or overall placing structure.

Registration is now available on the organiser's dedicated entry form, which asks for the participant's jersey size, emergency contact and other race-day details before proceeding to DOKU payment. The IDR 305,000 total comprises IDR 250,000 race entry, IDR 50,000 forest-waqf contribution and IDR 5,000 payment-system fee. Additional voluntary forest-waqf contributions can be made during registration (the form states a minimum additional IDR 10,000, in IDR 1,000 increments).

After payment verification, runners can retrieve their digital race pass and collection barcode using their email address and date of birth. The barcode must be shown for race-pack collection. As of 25 October, the organiser's site still marks both the race-pack pickup dates and location as to be announced; no closing date is published, so check the official registration form for availability and updates. The official course map is likewise still pending final technical approval.
