1st Pia Sapporo Satsuki Relay Marathon & Half Marathon 2027

The first Pia Sapporo Satsuki Relay Marathon & Half Marathon is held at Makomanai Sekisui Heim Stadium in Sapporo on 1–2 May 2027. The two-day event uses a loop course through Makomanai Park and caters to both teams and individual runners.

Saturday 1 May is for team relays and families. A half relay covers approximately 21 km using 20 laps and teams of 3–20 runners, beginning at 09:30 Japan time. A full relay covers approximately 42 km over 40 laps with teams of 3–40, beginning at 13:00. Both have men's, women's, mixed and workplace divisions. A separate 1.05 km parent-child run begins at 12:15 for preschool-age children and 12:30 for primary-school children.

On Sunday 2 May, the individual half marathon and 10-mile run start at 09:30, the 10K at 12:00 and the 5K at 13:30. The half marathon has a three-hour time limit; the 10-mile race has a 2.5-hour limit, the 10K 90 minutes and the 5K one hour. Day-one relay laps are around 1 km, with 5 km loops used on day two.

Electronic chip timing, live results and digital finishing certificates are provided. The children's parent-child race includes a finisher medal; gifts for other events have not yet been announced. Sunday course runners have two water points, while Saturday relays have a water point near the changeover area rather than on the loop.

Runners check in at the stadium gate on race day from 08:00, no later than 15 minutes before their respective starts. Bibs are not mailed. Solo runners have a bag-placement area; relay teams look after their own belongings. The venue is approximately 19 minutes on foot from Makomanai subway station.
