49th Fukuoka Ogori Half Marathon 2027

The 49th Fukuoka Ogori Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, 14 March 2027, in Ogori, Fukuoka Prefecture. This established spring road-running event combines a Japan Association of Athletics Federations-certified half marathon with a 5 km race and a 1.5 km programme for primary-school children and families. The start and finish are at Ogori City Athletics Stadium in Ogori Sports Park, and the half-marathon field is capped at 4,000 entrants.

The half marathon covers 21.0975 km on a largely flat road course, making it attractive to runners seeking an even pace. The time limit is two hours and 30 minutes, with intermediate checkpoints at approximately 6.7 km, 11.6 km, 15.1 km and 18 km. Check the organiser's latest course and traffic information because roads around the venue are restricted on race morning.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 08:30 to 09:00 Japan Standard Time. The half marathon starts at 09:30, the 1.5 km at 09:40 and the 5 km at 10:00. The 5 km welcomes runners of junior-high-school age and above. The shorter 1.5 km programme includes a timed primary-school category and an untimed family category for groups of two or more. Awards in the primary-school race extend through tenth place.

The 1.5 km primary-school entry costs JPY 1,000, and family entry costs JPY 500 per person. ARC has no exact 1.5 km distance reference, so these fees are recorded here rather than under an incorrect category. Online entry through RUNNET is scheduled from 1 November to 31 December 2026. Participants need a RUNNET account and should allow for booking charges. Participation gifts are scheduled for collection at the stadium from 07:30 to 09:00 on race day. For travel, the stadium is about a 15-minute walk from Nishitetsu Oho Station on the Tenjin-Omuta railway line. Allow extra time for local transport and road closures. The event is organised by the Fukuoka Ogori Half Marathon Executive Committee and is scheduled to proceed in wet weather.
