35th Takatsuki Half Marathon Osaka 2027

The 35th Takatsuki Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 24 January 2027 in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture. This established winter road race offers a half marathon, 5K, Enjoy 2.7K and Family 2.7K, all starting at the Takatsuki Municipal Sports Centre athletics stadium. The finish is at Takatsuki Municipal Third Junior High School.

Course and schedule

The half marathon starts at 10:10am JST, the Enjoy and Family 2.7K races at 10:33am, and the 5K at 10:43am. The half-marathon route follows city streets and stretches of the Yodo River embankment. It is predominantly flat and paved, although exposed riverside sections can be windy in January.

The half marathon has a 2-hour-50-minute cut-off, with checkpoints at approximately 13.8K (1 hour 55 minutes) and 18.7K (2 hours 33 minutes). Water points are listed near 4.5K, 10.5K and 17K. Follow the organiser's final race-day directions.

Registration and travel

The 5,100-place half marathon is sold out. Takatsuki City extended registration for the remaining categories until 6 November 2026, subject to capacity. The 5K has 1,400 places, Enjoy 2.7K has 1,000, and Family 2.7K has 500 pairs. Family entrants are an adult and a child aged six through primary-school Year 3.

ARC has no exact 2.7K distance ID, so these two official categories are described here rather than incorrectly shown as 3K. Enjoy entry costs JPY 1,500 to JPY 3,500 depending on age, and Family entry is JPY 3,000 per pair.

Race bibs and timing chips are mailed in advance. Free shuttles connect the venue with JR Takatsuki and Hankyu Takatsuki-shi stations. Allow time for baggage arrangements and the separate finish location.
