THE CHALLENGE RACE OSAKA 7 - Yodogawa, Japan 2027

THE CHALLENGE RACE OSAKA 7 is scheduled for Saturday 13 February 2027 on Osaka's Yodogawa riverfront. The event is aimed at runners pursuing a personal best, with a fast, almost level riverside circuit, experienced pacers, measured distances and options ranging from a short race to a full marathon.

Course and pacing

The organiser uses a flat riverside course beginning and ending beside the baseball fields at Yodogawa River Park's Nishinakajima area. The main 10 km lap has short turnaround sections for different distances; the advertised variation in elevation is under two metres. Pace groups target marathon performances ranging from approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours 20 minutes. The organiser advertises drink stations every 3-4 km, water and sports drinks, salt tablets and additional fuel at roughly 10 km intervals. The event is part of the organiser's R.LEAGUE running competition and a TEAM ONE TOKYO partner event.

Event-day schedule and time limits

Check-in and bib collection: 08:00-09:00 JST. Opening ceremony: 09:10-09:20. Line-up: approximately 09:25. The marathon, 30K, half marathon, 10K and 5K start at 09:30, followed by the one-mile race at 09:35. The mile is documented here because ARC has no exact mile distance option. The organiser lists cut-offs of 4 hours 30 minutes for the marathon, 3 hours 12 minutes for 30K, 2 hours 15 minutes for the half marathon, 90 minutes for 10K and 40 minutes for 5K. Timing chips must be returned after racing.

Practical details

The venue is beside Nishinakajima South / Minamikata stations and around a 15-minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station. Organisers do not offer secure storage for valuables: runners may use an informal bag-drop area at their own risk. Parking is not guaranteed. The current-edition e-moshicom booking page advertises entry through 8 February 2027, 23:59 JST, with individually selectable tickets and an R.LEAGUE member discount subject to eligibility.
