MIRI21 2026

MIRI21 2026 is Miri Marathon Association's dedicated half-marathon event in Sarawak, pairing a competitive 21K road race with a 5K fun run on Sunday, 11 October. Both races are based at Miri City Hall on Jalan Bandaraya in Marina Parkcity, giving the event a central city setting distinct from the association's separate full Miri Marathon programme.

The 21K flag-off was moved to 04:30 MYT by the organiser to give runners a cooler and safer start, while its cut-off remains 3 hours 30 minutes. The 5K begins at 06:00 and has a 1 hour 30 minute limit. Current organiser route maps show the half marathon heading from the Miri City Hall area through the Marina Parkcity road network, including Bandaraya Street, Marina Utama, Temenggong Oyong Lawai Jau Street, Tanjung Lobang Street, Emas Street, Bakam Street and Holiday Street before returning to the finish. The shorter 5K uses a compact city circuit around Bandaraya and Marina Utama. The published 21K map also marks water stations and selected gel and fruit support points.

Registration closed on 31 August 2026. Published 21K entry tiers were RM100 Early Bird, RM130 Standard and RM160 Late Entry. All participants receive an event tee, while 21K finishers also receive a dedicated finisher tee.

The 21K carries cash awards for both overall and age-group competition. The published overall champion prize is RM3,000 for both men and women. Age-group awards are RM1,500 for first, RM1,000 for second and RM800 for third across the listed 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55 and 56+ divisions.

Race-pack collection details remain to be updated by the organiser, so runners should rely on the final MIRI21 communication rather than assume a pickup venue or timetable.
