Event Detail

Twin Bridges Half Marathon Muar 2026 returns for its third consecutive edition in Johor’s royal town, with the event built around one of Muar’s most recognisable running experiences: racing across the city’s landmark bridges over the Muar River at dawn. Current-edition material describes it as one of Muar’s major annual sporting events, and the 2026 edition again welcomes both Malaysian runners and an international open field.

The race starts from Dataran Tanjung Emas on Sunday, 25 October. The 21K runners are scheduled to flag off at 4:30am, followed by the 11K at 5:30am and the 5K at 6:30am. Published race facts set cut-offs of four hours for the half marathon, two hours for the 11K and 90 minutes for the 5K. The official itinerary also lists warm-up sessions before each flag-off and an awards ceremony from 8:00am.

The half marathon is the flagship category. The 11K includes Malaysian open/senior and junior divisions as well as a non-Malaysian open division, while the 5K is the most accessible option and is open across ages. The route concept is central to the race identity: runners use Muar’s riverside roads and the twin-bridge corridor that gives the event its name, with the early start designed around the cooler pre-sunrise and sunrise period.

Race packs are collected before race day at Wetex Parade Muar. The event is organised with local elected-representative service offices, led by Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Parlimen Bakri together with the Bentayan and Tangkak state-assembly service offices. Current-edition organiser artwork also confirms separate Malaysian and non-Malaysian prize structures for the competitive 21K and 11K divisions. No unsupported route, aid-station or transport details have been added where the 2026 organiser has not published them clearly.
