Changhua Kiwanis National Marathon & Family Run 2027

The 2027 Changhua Kiwanis National Marathon and Family Run brings a planned field of 2,500 runners to Yuanlin in Changhua County on Sunday 28 February. Organised by Kiwanis Taiwan's Changhua B District, with delivery by the Xuzhan Kiwanis club and assistance from the Taiwan Big Foot Running Association, the event combines competitive road racing with a community focus on children's wellbeing, healthy activity and local connections.

The start and event village are at National Yuanlin Home Economics and Commercial Vocational Senior High School, 56 Zhongzheng Road. Four distances are offered: a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and a family-friendly 3K. The organiser has published separate route maps for each course, with the longer races intended to take runners through Yuanlin and neighbouring townships. The marathon has a stated six-hour-thirty-minute limit. The planned field caps are 800 marathon runners, 600 half marathoners, 600 in the 10K and 500 in the 3K.

Race-day check-in begins at 05:30, followed by rules and warm-up activities from 05:40. The marathon and half marathon start together at 06:00, followed by the 10K at 06:10 and the 3K at 06:20. Traffic controls are scheduled to begin as early as 04:30. Awards are planned from 09:00, with a lucky draw, food and performances from 10:00. Check the final programme because operational arrangements can change.

The organiser lists extensive refreshments along the marathon route, generally at 2.5 km intervals from 5 km, including water, sports drinks, fruit and assorted local snacks. Medical support is identified at approximately 25 km and 35 km. The 10K has planned drinks approximately every 2.5 km, while baggage storage is available at the event site.

Race packs are delivered by courier to addresses in Taiwan, starting approximately one week before the race. There is no normal in-person or race-day collection; delivery charges are additional. Marathon, half marathon and 10K entry prices include a refundable TWD 100 timing-chip deposit. Entries are scheduled to close on 31 January 2027, or earlier if places fill.
