Event Detail
Thai PBS KINGBRIDGE RUN 2026 is a new Bangkok charity road-running event built around a rare chance to run across the Bhumibol cable-stayed bridges above the Chao Phraya River. The inaugural event takes place on Sunday 6 December, with the start and finish at KINGSQUARE Community Mall on Ratchadaphisek Road in the Rama III area. It is jointly organised by the Thai PBS Foundation and Dr Thiam Chokwatana Foundation, with support from Thai PBS and local partners. Net proceeds after expenses are intended to help children and young people at risk of leaving education.
The routes
The headline 21 km Half Marathon takes runners over both Bhumibol Bridge 1 and Bridge 2, giving elevated views across the river bends and the Bangkok skyline. The 13 km Super Mini Marathon crosses Bhumibol Bridge 1, while the 5 km Fun Run stays around the Rama III urban streets and does not climb both bridges. The organiser's published route graphics show approximate plotted lengths of 21.4 km, 13.5 km and 5.6 km, respectively, rather than precisely certified standard distances. Expect climbing on the bridge routes, not a completely flat course.
Race morning and support
The 21 km race starts at 03:30, followed by 13 km at 04:15 and 5 km at 04:30, all Bangkok time. The organisers open baggage facilities at 02:30 and stage a welcome and warm-up from 03:15. Awards are scheduled for 06:30, the finish closes at 07:00, and activities conclude at 07:30. Thai PBS says more than 100 course marshals, traffic police, emergency medical teams and ambulances are planned, with drinking-water points approximately every 2 km. The broadcaster also plans online coverage of the event.
Entry and race packs
Online registration is advertised until 15 October 2026, or earlier when places fill. The official registration system currently marks the 5 km sold out. The 13 km category costs THB 799 and includes a bib with timing chip, event shirt and medal. The 21 km and 5 km fees and inclusions are detailed in the race-category cards. Race-pack collection is scheduled for 4 and 5 December, 10:00–18:00, on Level 1 of KINGSQUARE Community Mall, near the lift lobby beside The Coffee Academics. Self-collection also includes a goodie bag and commemorative items. Overall and age-group trophies are awarded in the 13 km and 21 km events, with 72 awards announced in total.
Allow extra time to reach the mall before the early starts and check the organiser's updates for traffic restrictions, transport arrangements and any course changes.
