Event Detail
Kalasin Marathon 2026 is a four-distance road-running event in Kalasin, northeastern Thailand, held on Sunday, 4 October 2026 under the organiser’s “Jurassic Isan” theme. The race base is Mueang Kalasin District Office, which the official event site identifies as both the start and finish for all four routes. The programme combines a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K, with both solo and parent-child Family Run entry options at 5K.
The full marathon starts first at 03:30 and has a seven-hour cut-off, closing at 10:30. The half marathon starts at 04:30 with a four-hour limit, the 10K at 05:30 with a 2 hour 30 minute limit, and the 5K Fun Run and Family Run at 05:45 with a 1 hour 30 minute limit. The organiser publishes separate course maps for all four distances. These early starts are important practical information for runners planning transport and arrival at the district-office race hub.
Regular entry fees were THB 900 for 42.195K, THB 800 for 21.1K, THB 600 for 10K, THB 450 for the solo 5K and THB 800 per Family Run pair. Regular registration ran from 16 July to 5 August after the earlier Early Bird period, and the organiser explicitly states there is no race-day registration.
Race packs are scheduled for collection on Saturday, 3 October, one day before the race; exact collection hours have not been published on the current official page. Every race package includes a bib with timing chip, race shirt, drawstring race bag and finisher medal, while marathon and half-marathon finishers also receive a finisher shirt. The current medal artwork reflects the event’s Kalasin identity through dinosaur imagery, Phra That Ya Khu and Praewa-style lanyard designs.
Overall cash prizes are offered separately for men and women. The marathon pays THB 7,000 / 5,000 / 3,000 for the first three places, with corresponding awards of THB 5,000 / 3,000 / 2,000 for the half, THB 3,000 / 2,000 / 1,500 for 10K and THB 1,500 / 1,000 / 500 for 5K. Age-group competitors race for top-five trophies, and the organiser also publishes awards for the largest participating teams of at least 20 runners.
