Sơn Trà City Trail 2026 brings trail running to the coastal landscape of Da Nang, with a race programme based in Sơn Trà ward on Sunday 27 December 2026. The event is coordinated by Sơn Trà Ward People's Committee and Belove Mountain. Unlike a conventional city road race, this is promoted as a city-trail experience, connecting urban access with the hill terrain associated with the Sơn Trà area. It offers four independently selectable races, so participants can choose a distance that suits their trail experience.
Distances and eligibility
The published programme is 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km. Entry age is determined by year of birth: runners must be at least eight for the 5K, fourteen for the 10K and eighteen for either of the longer races. The organiser asks participants to provide accurate registration and medical information for eligibility and event-insurance purposes. A registration tier change is scheduled on 1 November, followed by a further late-entry tier in December. Published entries close on 15 December, although availability should be checked directly with the registration provider.
Practical entry details
The official registration terms distinguish simple corrections to a runner's existing details from transfers and distance upgrades. Requests to correct the same runner's name, shirt size, email or other personal information are free under the stated conditions. A transfer to another runner or upgrade in race distance carries a VND 200,000 handling fee, plus any increase in entry cost. Changes must be requested by 23:59 on 30 November 2026. Entries are normally non-refundable and cannot be carried over to another edition; the organiser publishes limited medical or pregnancy-related exceptions involving an authorised transfer.
On-the-ground planning
The iRace event listing currently gives an overall 04:00–10:00 Vietnam-time event window on race day; that is not a confirmed flag-off time for each category. Course maps, aid-station positions, precise start-point coordinates, individual category start times, cut-offs and race-pack collection schedules have not been verified from the current edition's publicly available guide. Runners should follow the organiser's official Facebook page and iRace registration information as those operational details are released. Treat the map pin as a broad Sơn Trà ward reference, rather than the surveyed start line.
