Event Detail
Garmin Run Vietnam 2026 is the Vietnam stop of the international Garmin Run Marathon Series and returns to Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, 18 October 2026. Garmin expects more than 8,500 runners, up from nearly 6,000 in 2025, with the event based at Saigon Riverside Park in An Khanh. The programme includes 5K, 10K and 21K races, plus 5K and 10K Couple Run categories in which pairs race together.
The half marathon is the first race away at 04:30 ICT, followed by the 10K and 10K Couple at 05:30 and the 5K and 5K Couple at 06:00. Official limits are four hours for the half marathon, 2 hours 30 minutes for the 10K and 1 hour 30 minutes for the 5K. The 21K route takes runners through the modern Thu Thiem urban area and along the Saigon River, while the 10K and 5K also use riverside roads with Garmin Run Club cheer and photo points. The organiser describes the Sala/Thu Thiem course as relatively flat with few turns.
Minimum ages are 16 for the half marathon, 10K and 10K Couple, and 12 for the 5K and 5K Couple. Electronic timing is built into the race bib and runners must pass the official timing points. Race-kit collection is scheduled for Expo Day on Saturday, 17 October. Runners need their BIB confirmation email with QR code and valid identification; authorised proxy collection is permitted under the published document requirements.
Finishers within the cut-off receive a medal and electronic certificate. The 5K and 10K include an event T-shirt and tote bag, while 21K runners receive a singlet, finisher shirt, tote bag and aminoVital energy gel. Garmin awards the top three men and women over 5K, 10K and 21K, with cash and Garmin products, while the leading Couple teams receive category prizes.
The event forms part of Garmin's 2022-2027 13-city Marathon Series. Runners who complete 10 designated series races can apply for a personalised 18K gold-plated series medal. Registration is handled through the official Garmin-linked NJUKO/Pulse Active channel; published transfer and distance-change requests closed on 4 September 2026.
