Đất Thép City Trail 2027 brings Vietnam MTB Series' City Trail format back to the Củ Chi area of Ho Chi Minh City, combining urban access with trail running through the landscape associated with the historic Củ Chi Tunnels. The organiser describes the event as a city-to-forest race under tropical tree cover, with sections intended to move runners away from normal city streets and into quieter natural terrain.

The programme covers 7K, 10K, 21K and 42K, giving the weekend a range from shorter introductory distances through to a full marathon-length trail challenge. Current organiser and registration material lists the event across 23–24 January 2027, with the main race day on Sunday 24 January. The current race listing gives a 04:00–12:00 race window. Category-specific flag-off and cut-off times have not yet been published in accessible text, so runners should check the final race guide rather than assume all four distances start together.

The venue is the Tan An Hoi Commune Public Service Provision Center on Provincial Road 8, the site previously identified as the Củ Chi District Cultural Center. The present event concept is closely tied to Củ Chi's history and forest environment, but the detailed 2027 course map is still marked as pending. That means elevation, aid-station locations and the exact road-versus-trail split should be treated as not yet final.

Registration is currently in the Early Bird period through 31 October, followed by Regular pricing from 1 November to 10 January. The published fee table ranges from VND 550,000 to VND 900,000 in the current Early Bird phase, depending on distance. The registration platform also states that entries are non-refundable and that distance changes require payment of any applicable fee difference. Runners in the 21K and 42K must be at least 18. The shorter-distance youth rules are published separately, although one current age-rule block contains a likely template reference to 5K rather than 7K, so ARC has not reproduced that discrepancy as fact.
