Who should consider it?
Consider a carbohydrate drink if you want some of your long-session or race fuel delivered through a bottle. Work out how that bottle fits into your overall plan before buying a box. The carbohydrate content per prepared serving is a product specification, not an instruction that every runner should consume that amount every hour.
