NEW YEAR RUN 2026 - HORSE is an active Checkrace virtual challenge in Thailand's long-running New Year Run medal series. Participants run remotely and submit accumulated distance through the Checkrace ecosystem rather than attending a shared start line.

20K virtual challenge

The current Checkrace index lists a 20 km target and marks the event as open for registration. The public platform displays the challenge window as 28 December through 30 December 2027. Because the listing omits a start-year label while retaining the 2026 event name, ARC treats 28 December 2026 as the working opening date and explicitly flags this legacy date-format ambiguity for review.

Tracking and race pack

Checkrace/THAIATHON supports GPS-tracked virtual running through services such as Strava and Garmin. The wider THAIATHON programme provides digital E-BIBs, premium Dri-FIT shirts and finisher medals, with medals dispatched after verified completion.

The THAIATHON public site says entry pricing starts from THB350, but it does not expose a reliable event-specific HORSE package price in the indexed material reviewed. ARC therefore leaves the exact fee blank instead of assuming the platform minimum applies to this challenge.

Credibility

THAIATHON is operated through Checkrace by Race Up Work Co., Ltd., which publishes a Bangkok office address, email and phone number and reports more than 100,000 participating runners across its virtual-event ecosystem. This provides a clear organiser/platform trail, although ARC has not independently audited fulfilment.
