Event Detail
Tata Mumbai Marathon's official virtual event brings its India-based running programme to participants on their own routes. This is a separate registration from the physical Mumbai race: a virtual entry does not provide access to the organised course, venue, aid stations or race-day services.
How the virtual race works
Select one distance and record a single attempt using the dedicated HDOR app during the published Indian Standard Time window. This is not a cumulative challenge. The organiser requires completion within 24 hours of starting, or by the event's closing time, whichever comes first. Any rest, water or toilet breaks remain part of the elapsed race time.
Running, jogging and walking are permitted. Treadmill, cycling and wheelchair activities do not qualify under these virtual-event rules. Use a route with reliable mobile connectivity and test the app before starting. Only one virtual category per person is allowed; the FAQ also limits participants to one official attempt. Follow the current app instructions rather than assuming that a watch or Strava upload will replace HDOR recording.
Eligibility and entry
Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon and half marathon, 15 for the 10K and 10 for the 5K, using the organiser's published birth-date cut-offs. A parent or guardian should review the conditions for a minor. Domestic pricing applies to residents of India; overseas pricing applies to residents outside India. The published base entry fees include 18% GST. Confirm address eligibility and any checkout charges before payment.
The virtual timing certificate is not accepted as a qualifying certificate for the physical event. A race-day T-shirt and runner bag are not included. Cancellations requested by accepted participants are non-refundable under the published terms.
Delivery and information checks
The organiser advertises physical entitlements by 28 February 2027, with the medal conditional on verified completion. Some FAQ practice-date and late-bib delivery wording contains obvious month or year inconsistencies. The official run dates agree across the main information and FAQ pages; confirm practice access and individual delivery arrangements in the registration communications rather than relying on those inconsistent lines.
Race Pack Information
Postal entitlements are advertised by 28 February 2027, subject to verified completion for the medal. The page contains an inconsistent late-bib cutoff year; confirm the individual dispatch schedule, overseas address eligibility and any final charges directly. No physical-race expo collection is assumed.
