Event Detail
The 11th Kailas Ultra Tour Mt Siguniang brings one of China's best-known high-altitude trail-running challenges back to the Four Sisters Mountain scenic area in Xiaojin County, Sichuan. The 2026 races take place on 6–7 November, with participant check-in and kit collection beginning on 4 November. The mountain scenery combines alpine meadows, forest, deep valleys and snow-covered peaks, but altitude is a central part of the challenge: the event's trails climb well above 3,000 metres and require prior endurance and mountain experience.
2026 courses and starts
The organiser has announced five named courses. Happy Cowboy 35 is 32.2 km with approximately 1,675 m of ascent, a 12-hour limit and starts on Saturday 7 November at 07:30 or 08:30 depending on wave. Free Soul 45 is 42.9 km with 1,670 m of ascent and a 13-hour limit, departing the Shuangqiao Valley redwood forest on Friday 6 November at 07:30 or 08:00. Hello Beautiful 50 is 50.5 km with 2,758 m of ascent, a 16-hour limit and a Saturday 05:00 start. Dream Road 70 covers 70 km with 3,526 m of ascent, a 22-hour limit and starts Friday at 23:00. The longest, Dream East Wall 100, covers 99.4 km with 4,322 m of ascent, starts Friday at 09:00 and allows 32 hours. All times are local China Standard Time (UTC+8).
The main venue and check-in point is the Siguniang Mountain Outdoor Activity Management Centre. Some courses use this as both start and finish, while the 45 km and 100 km categories have an away start at Shuangqiao Valley's redwood forest. Consult your specific category's transport, equipment and checkpoint instructions: the course lengths, altitude gain, start points and cut-offs differ markedly.
Preparation and registration
The official entry provider lists the five course fees as CNY 799, 999, 1,099, 1,599 and 2,099 respectively, and currently marks registration closed. The organiser also imposes category-specific qualifying experience, reflecting the risks of strenuous running at elevation. Race-pack collection and technical briefings are scheduled ahead of the competition on 4–5 November. Entrants should check the current race handbook for identification, mandatory equipment, health requirements, shuttle arrangements and any last-minute course or start-wave updates.
