Event Detail
The 2026 Jining Taibai Lake Half Marathon is a major road-running event in Shandong, China, scheduled for Sunday 25 October. Its Shantui-sponsored edition is also the Jining round of the Shandong Provincial Marathon League, with 10,000 entrants expected for the single 21.0975 km half-marathon distance. The official start is at the west gate of Jining Sports Centre at 7:30 am local time.
Race route and setting
Jining's Taibai Lake district brings together broad urban roads, a lakeside environment and cultural sites connected to the Grand Canal. The organiser's course description includes Taibai Lake, city parks and surrounding streets. A new course announcement was issued on 9 October 2026; runners should use the most recent map rather than older editions' routes. The race offers a chance to see a side of Jining that combines the region's canal history, contemporary neighbourhoods and natural landscape.
Start procedure and cut-off
The official check-in window is 5:20 to 7:20 am. Entrants are required to present their bib and timing chip and assemble in their assigned zones by 7:20 am. The finishing deadline is 10:30 am. Intermediate road-reopening limits are 8:25 am at 5 km, 9:00 am at 10 km, 9:40 am at 15 km and 10:20 am at 20 km. The race uses electronic timing mats at designated checkpoints.
On-course arrangements
The published competition regulations list drink and water stations at approximately 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 17.5 and 20 km, with additional energy supplies at 12.5 and 17.5 km. Designated baggage storage is available at the start until 7:15 am, with collection by 11:00 am. Finishers who complete the correct route within the time limit may collect a medal and download an electronic results certificate following the event.
Registration and runner information
The official CNY 120 entry window ran from 18 May until 21 June 2026 and is now closed. Race materials must be collected in person with an original identity document during the collection period announced separately by the organisers. Participants should review the latest organiser notices for bib collection, transport access, the final route map and any late race-day updates.
