Event Detail
RMAC Gold Coast 15K Hong Kong 2026 is organised by the Hong Kong Marathon Promotion Club (HKMP) and co-organised by Running Man Athletic Club (RMAC) on Sunday 8 November 2026. This uncommon 15 km race offers a useful intermediate-distance challenge for runners building towards a half marathon.
The assembly point is Ting Kau Car Park, Castle Peak Road, close to Lido Beach beneath Ting Kau Bridge. The actual race start is near Ting Yat Road, with the first wave at 9:00am after check-in begins at 8:00am. The organiser sets a two-hour race limit ending around 11:00am. Later waves, if needed, will be assigned in organiser communications.
Course character: the route follows the Ting Kau Catchwater, incorporating two turnaround points. After an initial slight climb, organisers describe roughly 90% of the course as relatively flat, with views of Ting Kau Bridge, Tsing Ma Bridge and Rambler Channel. Although called a Gold Coast race, this is a Hong Kong/Tsuen Wan event, not the Australian Gold Coast Marathon.
Entry and community purpose: the general registration fee is HK$340 per runner. HK$20 from each entry supports the Bling Bling Ocean Foundation's marine conservation work. Registration closes 19 October 2026, or sooner if entries fill. The organiser lists men's and women's individual age categories and three-runner team competition; all athletes should enter individually and follow the team's nomination process described in the official instructions. Age-group breakdown and team scoring should be reconfirmed from the latest 2026 information pack rather than relying solely on past editions.
Runner support: Nike Run Club will provide pacing services along the course, and PHYX is providing free on-site sports physiotherapy assessment and treatment. The organiser advertises a commemorative long-sleeve running T-shirt for finishers. Overall fastest male and female runners may be eligible for a reported HK$1,000 RMAC prize and age-group/team prizes, subject to the official 2026 prize schedule.
Bib and race-pack collection: the race organiser indicates collection arrangements on its official registration form; runners must use their personal confirmation email for the current time and place. Do not rely on the prior year's pickup dates. Runners should arrive early and bring a valid identity document/confirmation. Public transport to Ting Kau is preferable because available parking is limited and race-day road controls may apply.
Source quality note: the official 2026 registration form and the Hong Kong athletics events calendar establish the event date, location, start, price and deadline. Exact bib-collection hours and prize category breakdown remain subject to organiser confirmation.
