Tai Po Half Marathon 2026 is a community road-race programme in Hong Kong’s New Territories, co-organised by Tai Po Sports Association Limited and Sportsoho Media Limited with support from the Tai Po District Office. The event takes place on Sunday, 27 December 2026, with Hong Kong Science Park serving as both the start and finish hub.
The programme includes a half marathon, 10K, 3K and 1K family race. The organiser currently lists the starts as tentative: 07:30 for the half marathon, 07:50 for the 10K, 08:00 for the 3K and 09:30 for the 1K family category. The course closes at 11:00. Official route maps show the half marathon extending north from Science Park along the Tolo Harbour corridor into Tai Po with multiple turning points, while the 10K follows a shorter out-and-back section along the waterfront. The 3K and 1K routes remain closer to Science Park and the Pak Shek Kok waterfront.
Entry opened on 19 August and is first come, first served, with no fixed final registration date published. Current fees are HKD 350 for the half marathon, HKD 250 for 10K, HKD 200 for 3K and HKD 280 for the 1K family category. Half-marathon and 10K runners can also form six-person teams for the Team Cup, with the first five finishers’ times counting toward the team result.
Every participant receives an event T-shirt and finisher medal, and an electronic certificate is available for download within one month after race day. Baggage storage is provided. Exact race-pack collection dates, times and venue have not yet been published; successful entrants will receive collection instructions by email about two weeks before the event and must present the redemption email, with authorised proxy collection permitted under the organiser’s published identification rules.
Individual age-group podiums are awarded trophies or medals, while the top three half-marathon and 10K Team Cup teams receive trophies and medals. Runners should note that the organiser may amend the programme and currently labels the start schedule as tentative.

Prizes
