Belagavi Hill Survival Challenge returns to Hangarga, Karnataka on Sunday 15 November 2026 for its third edition. Organiser Belagavi Endurance Sports describes the event as part of the ITRA National League. Unlike a city road race, this is a self-supported mountain-trail challenge on the hills around Belagavi, with an emphasis on sustained climbing, uneven footing and responsible use of the natural trails.
Courses and terrain
The organiser advertises 10 km, 26 km and 52 km courses. The 2026 routes use natural singletrack, wooded sections, gravel, rocky descents and an especially steep concluding climb. The 26 km and 52 km options require a higher level of trail preparation than their distances alone might suggest. Course signs and sweepers support navigation, while checkpoint time limits are enforced. The published registration information gives an indicative 2 h 30 m limit for 10 km, 5 h 30 m for 26 km and 10 h for 52 km. Check the organiser's final route brief for any changes.
Race-day planning
The organiser specifies Hangarga Government High School as the host venue. Reporting is requested by 6:30 am, ahead of the advertised 7:00 am start, India Standard Time. Allow extra time to reach Hangarga from central Belagavi; the organiser's event guide provides road, rail and air travel information. Trail shoes with dependable grip are recommended. Participants must carry at least one litre of water and follow the mandatory kit check for water, whistle and phone. Carry wrappers back to aid stations: littering and shortcuts are prohibited.
Entries and recognition
The organiser's official current-edition entry page, verified 27 October 2026, lists ₹1,000 for 10 km, ₹1,500 for 26 km and ₹2,000 for 52 km, with a registration window closing 31 October 2026. Official finishers receive a commemorative medal; trophies are planned for the leading three men and women in each category. The registration terms specify that paid entries are non-refundable. Review the official event guide and live entry page before travelling or paying.
ARC catalogue note: The exact 26 km and 52 km distances are not yet available as structured ARC filters. They are the official advertised course lengths, not 25 km or 50 km.
