Event Detail

The 11th TSAIGU Kuocang Trail (柴古唐斯括苍越野赛) returns to the mountains around Linhai in Zhejiang Province from 30 October to 1 November 2026. One of China's established large-scale trail races, the festival expects a field of approximately 6,500 runners across three challenging distances. All three courses start and finish at Xingshanmen Square (兴善门广场), beside Linhai's historic city quarter and the Taizhou Prefecture City Wall, before climbing towards the rugged Kuocang Mountains.

Race programme

  • 50K: Friday 30 October, first wave 05:40, second wave 06:00 (China Standard Time). Organiser information lists approximately 2,629 metres of ascent, a 10-hour 45-minute cut-off, and an entry fee of CNY 780.
  • 105K: Saturday 31 October, waves at 05:10 and 05:30. The longest race includes about 6,677 metres of climbing with a 28-hour 30-minute limit, priced at CNY 1,480.
  • 25K: Sunday 1 November, waves at 07:45 and 08:00. The shorter mountain course still involves roughly 1,034 metres of ascent, a 6-hour cut-off, and an entry fee of CNY 480.

These are substantial mountain ascents, not flat urban running distances. Trail experience, appropriate footwear and careful pacing are important even in the 25K category. The 105K has no exact distance ID in ARC's current taxonomy; its actual 105 km distance must be checked in these event details rather than inferred from a rounded ultra-distance tag.

Entry and qualification

The event organiser used a prepaid ballot for general applications between 20 and 26 June 2026, with a draw on 2 July and a separate elite application period in July. As of October, the event listing shows registration closed. Runners should not assume late entries are available.

Published qualification thresholds include an ITRA performance index of at least 410 for the 105K, 360 for the 50K, and 260 for the 25K. Participants should review the complete 2026 race rules and mandatory equipment lists; trail-running eligibility and documentation can be checked at race-pack collection. Organiser materials identify timing, course nutrition and hydration, medical support and finishing awards as part of the event experience, but category-specific entitlements and collection instructions should always be checked against the final race guide.

For visitors, Linhai in Taizhou, Zhejiang is the host city. The Xingshanmen venue is in the historic central district, while the courses head into mountainous terrain. Arrange transport and accommodation with the early local starts in mind, and allow extra time for race-pack checks. Final course conditions, weather-related arrangements and organiser announcements take precedence over third-party summaries.
