BTM Layout Marathon Bengaluru 2027

The BTM Layout Marathon 2027 brings a neighbourhood running event to southern Bengaluru on Tuesday, 26 January, India's Republic Day. Despite its name, the organiser's 2027 race programme advertises 5 km and 10 km events only, rather than a full marathon. The day is promoted as a friendly way to make running and walking part of a healthier, more active community.

Race-day experience

The event is based at BTM Layout Ground, which the organiser identifies as both the starting and finishing location. Runners are asked to report at 5:00 am. The official site has not published separate 5K and 10K flag-off times, cut-offs or detailed route maps; 5:00 am should therefore be treated as the assembly time, not a confirmed starting gun. Both race options are advertised as open to participants aged seven and above.

The organisers connect the Republic Day event with fitness, friendship, a cleaner and greener neighbourhood, and cancer awareness, encouraging early detection and healthier habits. It is presented as a community participation event rather than an elite road championship. The advertised entry includes a race bib and digital participation certificate; medals are described for winners, so entrants should not assume every finisher receives one.

Before travelling

The precise ground entrance, measured route, bib-collection arrangements, aid stations, transport restrictions and the identity of any medical-support provider have not yet been confirmed on the official event site. Runners should check the organiser's latest instructions before travelling or paying. BTM Layout lies in southern Bengaluru; the mapped coordinates are a neighbourhood-level reference only, not a surveyed event start line.

Entry options

The official registration links currently list 5K at INR 699 and 10K at INR 899. Use the organiser’s 5K registration page or 10K registration page for the selected distance. Check the final price and any payment charges before confirming your entry.
