Event Detail
Bharat Midnight Marathon @ Bengaluru 2026 is the 19th edition of Bengaluru’s distinctive overnight road-running festival, organised by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC) at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO) in Whitefield. Founded in 2007, the event has evolved from the Bengaluru Midnight Marathon into the Bharat Midnight Marathon brand, with Bengaluru remaining its flagship edition. The organiser says recent editions have averaged more than 11,000 participants, including runners from across India and overseas, and the race is listed by AIMS.
The Saturday-to-Sunday programme combines competitive timed races with community events. A Rotary 3K Polio Run starts at 17:30 IST, followed by the timed Fastenal BK 5K at 18:30 and a non-timed 5K Fun Run at 18:40. The 10K starts at 20:30. The longer races begin late in the evening: the full marathon at 23:00, the 31.6K at 23:10 and the half marathon at 23:25. Published cut-offs are 55 minutes for the 3K, 90 minutes for each 5K, 2 hours 15 minutes for the 10K, six hours for the marathon, 4 hours 50 minutes for the 31.6K and 4 hours 5 minutes for the half marathon. ARC has no exact 31.6K distance option, so that genuine race is described here rather than mapped inaccurately.
The official 2026 registration fees are INR 2,301 for the marathon and 31.6K, INR 2,183 for the half marathon and 10K, INR 1,829 for the timed 5K and INR 1,416 for the non-timed 5K. Timed-race registration is scheduled to close at 23:59 IST on 8 November, while the non-timed 5K remains open until 23:59 on 1 December, unless route capacity is reached earlier.
Timed entrants receive a T-shirt, bib, timing chip, finisher medal, food coupons and downloadable e-certificate. The non-timed 5K includes a T-shirt, bib, food coupons and participation certificate. Bib and chip collection is scheduled for 3–4 December from 10:00 to 18:00, with the expo venue still to be announced. The event is also RBITC’s principal annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting its social programmes.
