Dr. Ramani Goa Marathon 2026 - Ponda

Dr. Ramani Goa Marathon 2026 takes place in Ponda, Goa, on Sunday 1 November 2026. Founded more than two decades ago by neurosurgeon and fitness enthusiast Dr P. S. Ramani, this established community race encourages healthy lifestyles and connects competitive and recreational runners. The four advertised distances are the half marathon, 10K, 5K and a 3K participation run; despite the historical event name, no 42.195K full-marathon category is advertised for 2026.

Route through Ponda

All runners start at Bahusaheb Bandodkar Maidan in Patantali, Ponda. The longer half-marathon course passes through Bandora, Gaunem, Undir and the Agasthipur Ferry area, with sections of village streets and rural scenery before returning. Shorter courses follow part of the same general corridor with earlier turnaround points. The organiser highlights local temples, churches, water bodies and green fields along the way. The race map should be checked for final traffic and turning-point arrangements.

Official race-morning timetable

The current 2026 registration page asks runners to report at 5:20 am. It lists starts at 6:00 am for the half marathon, 6:15 am for 10K, 6:25 am for 5K and 6:35 am for 3K, all Indian Standard Time (UTC+05:30). Arrive early for bib checks and organiser announcements, especially if travelling from outside Ponda. Follow instructions at the start line and respect race marshals on local roads.

Participation and race facilities

The organiser's live booking form advertises a race T-shirt, finisher medal, refreshments and drinks, medical support and post-race refreshments. Confirm any timing-chip provision, category-specific results and award eligibility with the organiser, rather than assuming every distance is competitive. Standard participation conditions include risks inherent in distance running and the organiser's published cancellation/postponement terms.

Booking information

The live iFinish event calendar lists Friday 30 October 2026 as the scheduled registration deadline, two days before race day. The price cards use the live primary registration fees of INR 600 (3K), INR 800 (5K), INR 1,400 (10K) and INR 1,800 (21K). Some third-party pages still quote lower amounts. Runners should rely on the actual organiser-linked checkout for current payable prices, availability, terms and taxes. Final race-pack collection dates and venue have not been confirmed in the official 2026 information consulted.
