IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon Mumbai 2026

The IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon returns on Sunday 22 November 2026 for its ninth edition. Organised by the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command to celebrate the spirit of Navy Day (observed on 4 December), it brings civilian and defence runners together in South Mumbai. The organiser reports that more than 20,000 people take part annually. The 2026 race is a World Athletics Label road-running event.

South Mumbai running experience

The organiser advertises a road route past South Mumbai landmarks including Cross Maidan and Marine Drive. These are course-area references, not verified 2026 start-line or finish coordinates. The precise assembly area, 2026 course map and traffic arrangements have not been confirmed in the organiser's FAQ. The map pin is a general Cross Maidan reference only: follow official race-week directions for the exact start and finish.

Three timed divisions

• 21.1K Aircraft Carrier Run: half marathon, entrants aged 18 or older.
• 10K Destroyer Run: 10K road race, entrants aged 16 or older.
• 5K Frigate Run: 5K road race, entrants aged 12 or older.

All three include RFID timing. Each distance has a standard civilian entry and a discounted defence personnel entry. Defence discounts require valid service identification and do not represent separate race days. Race-category cards show official inclusive-of-GST INR prices.

Registration: SOLD OUT

As at 24 October 2026, the official 2026 website explicitly labels all three distances SOLD OUT and their registration buttons closed. The organiser's FAQ does not provide a dated registration deadline, so no unsupported reg_closed_at has been entered. India Running is the exclusive registration and payment partner; do not purchase entries from unofficial resellers. Registrations are non-transferable and generally non-refundable.

Race-pack collection and participation

A Navy-themed expo and bib collection will be held before race day, but the official 2026 expo dates, venue and opening hours have not been published. Bring the India Running app QR code or registration confirmation plus government-issued photo ID. Defence entrants must also show their service ID. Authorised representatives may collect a bib with the shared QR code or signed authorisation and the prescribed identification; bibs are not mailed. The organiser advertises timing certificates, a premium running top, medal, goodie bag, race photos, drinks, medical crews and ambulance support.

Timing guidance

The registration platform displays times equivalent to approximately 05:00 IST for 21.1K, 06:15 IST for 10K and 07:30 IST for 5K when its displayed timestamps are interpreted as UTC. These are not independently confirmed final flag-off times. The event's indexed 05:00 start should be treated as provisional until organisers release final runner instructions, route maps and wave times.
