Event Detail

The 2026 China Airlines Marathon - Starry Night Run (華航馬拉松星光夜跑) takes place on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at Dajia Riverside Park, Gate 10, Taipei. This third-edition, family-friendly night race combines an AIMS-certified riverside course with an outdoor market, music and post-run prize draws. Registration is completely SOLD OUT: the official entry portal currently states that all places are filled. The advertised registration window was 21 April–21 May 2026, or earlier if capacity was reached.

Night running by the Keelung River

Choose from the 21K half marathon, 10K Run for Health and 6K Family Starlight divisions. The 6K is a genuine 6 km category, not a 5K, so ARC records it here rather than giving it a misleading 5K distance tag. The starting precinct is the Dajia Riverside Park domed canopy plaza near Gate 10 in Taipei's Zhongshan District. Runners should arrive from 15:30 local time, when bag drop and the market open. The entertainment programme continues until 21:30, with a starlight concert, awards and prize draw from about 18:45.

Confirmed starting waves and cut-offs

  • 17:00: 21K first wave.
  • 17:10: 21K charity wave for eligible runners with disabilities and their registered guides.
  • 17:15: 21K second wave.
  • 17:35: 10K runners.
  • 18:10: 6K family starlight runners.

The published time limits are 3 hours 30 minutes for 21K, 2 hours for 10K, and 1 hour 30 minutes for 6K. Race officials use starting mats to record departures; leaving substantially after your wave may invalidate your result. The half marathon has a minimum age of 17 years. The 10K and 6K have no minimum age, although children younger than 12 must enter and participate with a parent, guardian or teacher.

Registration, race materials and travel

The organiser offered standard and lower-cost sustainability entries. Sustainability entrants do not receive the commemorative running top or finisher towel; standard entries have those inclusions. Eligible disability charity entrants and registered guides have a separate refundable-deposit arrangement. A TWD 100 timing-chip deposit is refundable when the chip is returned after the race. Listed entry fees exclude any additional payment and dispatch charges.

Race packs are sent to participants within Taiwan roughly a week before race day. Overseas runners collect their materials at the venue's service desk from 15:00 on race day, according to the official regulations. Participants are advised to bring their race documents and identification. Race entry transfers are restricted, so do not buy purported second-hand places through unofficial sellers.

China Airlines advertises completion incentives for eligible Dynasty Flyer members: 2,100 miles (21K), 1,000 miles (10K) or 600 miles (6K), subject to membership conditions, along with draws for flight tickets and mileage prizes. Organiser-issued running information and any last-minute traffic/transport updates take precedence. Read the full organiser regulations and current registration status before travelling.

Race Pack Information

Race packs sent by post to Taiwanese entrants around one week beforehand. International entrants may collect at event service desk from 15:00 on 31 October; bring proof of identity and entry. No on-site pickup for domestic registrants.
