Event Detail

The 2026 EVA Air Marathon is one of Taipei's largest annual road-running events and an AIMS-certified race, bringing a 24,000-runner field to the city on 25 October. The programme combines a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and 3K. The marathon, half and 10K start from the Presidential Office Plaza area on Ketagalan Boulevard, while the 3K starts and finishes at Dajia Riverside Park. The longer races all finish in the Dajia Riverside Park precinct.

The full marathon links central Taipei with long urban and riverside sections. After leaving Ketagalan Boulevard, the course uses Zhongshan South Road, Aiguo East Road, Xinyi Road and Ren'ai Road before entering the Xinsheng Viaduct and continuing through Beian Road, Mingshui Road and Tiding Boulevard. Later sections use the Huandong overpass system and Keelung River riverside parks before the finish near Dazhi Bridge. The half marathon and 10K share the same city-to-river character on shorter layouts. Organisers note that construction around Dajia Riverside Park may still require local course adjustments, so runners should check the final race notice.

Race morning begins early, with the marathon at 05:10, half marathon at 05:25 and 10K at 05:50. Their respective limits are six hours, four hours and two hours. The untimed 3K starts at 08:30 with a 30-minute event window. Competitive categories use bib-mounted chip timing, with official results based on gun time and required timing checkpoints.

Registration opened on 8 May and reached capacity before the published 29 May closing time. Runners can collect race packs at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Warehouse No. 3, on 22 to 24 October, with separate daily collection hours. Because the major races have different start and finish areas, the organiser also publishes category-specific baggage windows and post-race shuttle services between Dajia Riverside Park, MRT Yuanshan Station and the Presidential Office area.

The event is organised with EVA Air and the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association. The 2026 edition also continues the event's travel-focused participant programme and uses electronic results and other paperless race operations.
