Event Detail
MACR Cancer Fun Run 2026 is a community run hosted by the Malaysian Association for Cancer Research (MACR) with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The 3 km and 5 km activities bring runners, families, cancer researchers and supporters together to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and public education. The event is associated with the fourth MACR International Scientific Conference, taking place on 24–25 November 2026.
Important postponement
The organisers postponed the event from Saturday 31 October to Saturday 28 November 2026 because of haze and concerns about air quality. The organisers confirm that existing registrations remain valid for the new date. Their main website and the official RaceXasia and Race Roster event listings agree on 28 November 2026. One section of the organiser's detailed page mistakenly prints 2027, but 28 November 2027 is not a Saturday and should not be relied upon.
Updated race-day programme (Malaysia time)
- 6:45–7:20 am: participant check-in.
- 7:30 am: 3K fun-run flag-off (programme window until 9:30 am).
- 7:45 am: 5K fun-run flag-off (programme window until 9:45 am).
- 10:00–11:00 am: finisher-medal collection.
- 10:30 am–noon: cancer screening and lucky draw.
- Noon: event concludes.
The non-profit event supports cancer research and public-awareness initiatives. Both distances offer adult, student and children's entry divisions. Normal advertised fees are RM65 for adults aged 18+, RM50 for students aged 13–17, and RM35 for children aged 5–12, plus the booking platform's administration fee. The organisers warn that event shirts and medals may not be available in time for unusually late entrants.
Online registration closed
Official online registration is closed, as confirmed on the Race Roster booking page on 25 October 2026. The organiser states a 15 October registration closing date, while the platform displays fee periods through 16 October; therefore no unsupported precise closing hour is claimed. This listing is retained for participants who already hold valid entries and need the updated event information.
Race-kit collection is Friday 27 November 2026, 11:00 am–6:30 pm, at Stadium UPM. Bring an identification document such as MyKad, driving licence or staff/student ID. The organiser's latest information should take precedence if further weather-related changes are announced.
