TM80 Heritage Run, Taiping

TM80 Heritage Run, Taiping is a community road-running event staged on Sunday, 1 November 2026 as part of Telekom Malaysia's 80-year heritage celebrations. The race is based at Muzium Telegraf Taiping, a fitting venue for an event built around the country's communications legacy, and combines competitive age-group racing with a shorter family-friendly option.

The programme offers 10K and 5K distances. The 10K has men's and women's Open divisions for runners aged 18 to 39 and Veteran divisions for ages 40 and above. The 5K includes separate boys' and girls' Junior categories for ages 13 to 17 plus an Open-to-All category. Current organiser material lists the event from 6:00am to 11:00am MYT, with a published flag-off time of 7:00am. The rules state the event is open to Malaysian citizens only.

Entry fees are RM68 for every 10K division, RM68 for the 5K Junior divisions and RM55 for the 5K Open-to-All category, before applicable administration charges. Published entitlements include the event shirt, bib, bag, digital participation certificate and finisher medal, with a lucky draw also advertised. Separate current-edition artwork lists cash-and-trophy awards for the competitive 10K Open and Veteran divisions through fifth place, and for the 5K Junior boys' and girls' divisions through third place.

Race-kit collection is Saturday, 31 October from 10:00am to 8:00pm at Muzium Telegraf Taiping. Registration dates conflict across current official platforms: RaceXasia and Howei list 5 October, Race Roster's live fee windows currently run through 18 October, while its rules page still says 25 September. ARC therefore leaves the structured closing date unset. A detailed route map and distance-specific cut-offs have not been published in the current sources checked.
