SBI Green Marathon Season 7 Hyderabad 2026

The SBI Green Marathon Season 7 visits Hyderabad on Sunday 20 December 2026, starting from the event site at the University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli. This stage of a 17-city Indian running series is presented by State Bank of India and Mirchi, combining organised running with the message Run Today for a Greener Tomorrow and practical efforts to reduce waste at races.

The 2026 Hyderabad race programme

The half marathon begins at 05:00 IST and is chip timed. Entrants must be at least 18 years old, with men's and women's age groups 18–44, 45–59 and 60+. The chip-timed 10K starts at 06:00, open to runners aged 16 and over, with the same age bands adjusted to 16–44 for the youngest division. The 5K Green Run starts at 07:00 and is an untimed activity open to ages 10 and up according to the organiser's Hyderabad-specific race details. Sustainability and support

The organisers highlight organic event T-shirts, plantable bibs for 5K participants, environmentally friendlier water cups, biodegradable breakfast plates and organised waste management. Runners should use marked routes and dispose of waste appropriately. The timed 21K and 10K races carry published cash prizes in men's and women's age groups: half marathon ₹25,000 / ₹15,000 / ₹10,000 for the first three, and 10K ₹15,000 / ₹10,000 / ₹7,000, in each age band. The 5K is non-competitive.

Entering and attending

Registration is available through the official event ticketing partner. All-inclusive advertised fees are ₹1,500 for 21K, ₹1,200 for 10K and ₹900 for 5K. A definitive 2026 registration cut-off has not been established from the official rules, so review the registration portal for availability. Race-pack pickup hours and location are also awaiting final confirmation. Bring booking confirmation and photo identification when the organisers release the pickup schedule.

The University of Hyderabad address is confirmed, but its large campus has multiple entrances: the map pin is the university campus reference, not a verified start-line gantry.
