SBI Green Marathon Season 7 Visakhapatnam 2026

The SBI Green Marathon Season 7 comes to Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday 22 November 2026. The nationwide initiative links running with environmental awareness, supported by State Bank of India and Mirchi. This edition offers a timed half marathon and 10K alongside a non-timed 5K, welcoming competitive road runners and recreational participants.

Race morning

The current-edition organiser timetable lists the half marathon at 05:00 IST, the timed 10K at 06:00 IST and the untimed 5K at 07:00 IST. Entrants are asked to report at least an hour before their start. The organiser's Season 7 calendar and authorised registration page both name VMRDA Park, Ramakrishna Beach as the venue. Running for sustainability

The Green Marathon programme promotes environmentally conscious event practices. Published initiatives include organic event T-shirts, plantable bibs for 5K runners, waste-management measures, eco-friendly water cups and biodegradable breakfast plates. Half-marathon and 10K runners are offered chip-timed racing and timing certificates; all finishers are advertised to receive customised medals. Hydration stations and refreshments are part of the published participant arrangements.

Entries and important rules

Registration is currently offered through the authorised partner on a first-come, first-served basis, with a published closing time of 11:00 IST on 18 November 2026, unless places fill earlier. Base fees are INR 1,200 for the half marathon, INR 900 for 10K and INR 700 for 5K, plus 18% GST and a 3% online payment charge. The partner says entry payments are non-refundable. Minimum ages are 18 for the half and 16 for the 10K; organiser pages differ on the 5K minimum age, so families should confirm eligibility directly.

The organiser's Vizag city page publishes provisional-looking age-group cash prize tables for the timed half marathon and 10K (see the structured Prizes section); its other content still references Season 6, so entrants should reconfirm prize conditions before relying on them. The registration partner says final prize details may be shared later. Race-pack collection times, exact assembly point, route maps and final instructions should be checked with the organiser. Visakhapatnam is a coastal city on the Bay of Bengal, but a beachfront course must not be assumed until the 2026 map is published.
