Decathlon The Light Waterfront Fun Run 2026

Decathlon The Light Waterfront Fun Run 2026 is a 5K community event at The Light Waterfront in Gelugor, Penang, on Saturday, 31 October. Organised by Decathlon Malaysia, the run is designed for both runners and walkers and has a published capacity of 2,000 participants.

The 7:00am flag-off gives participants an early-morning outing at Penang's eastern waterfront precinct. The Light Waterfront sits beside the Penang Strait near the Penang Bridge and includes a public promenade used for jogging, cycling and walking. The organiser has not published a detailed current-edition course map or cut-off time in the accessible event text, so those details have not been assumed.

Registration is RM35 and is scheduled to close on 15 October 2026, subject to availability. The organiser is also promoting a complimentary 20-litre Decathlon backpack for the first 1,200 registrations, subject to its stated availability and conditions.

Race-kit collection is scheduled for Friday, 30 October from 10:00am to 6:00pm at Decathlon, The Light Waterfront, Penang. A limited event-day collection window from 6:00am to 6:45am is available only to participants who selected that option. The organiser states that late collection will not be entertained and that tees and medals will not be distributed after the event.
