Sekinchan Ultra 2026

Sekinchan Ultra 2026 returns to Sekinchan, Selangor on 24-25 October for an overnight road-running programme based at SMJK Yoke Kuan. The organiser describes it as the flattest ultra marathon in Malaysia, a distinction promoted with the Malaysia Book of Records, and the race is built around the agricultural roads and paddy-field scenery for which Sekinchan is known.

The current live entry matrix and 2026 event poster list 100K, 50K, 21K, 10K and 5K categories. The 100K starts at 17:00 on Saturday and uses the 50K road circuit twice, while the 50K starts at midnight. Sunday morning flag-offs are 05:00 for 21K, 07:00 for 10K and 07:30 for 5K. Official finish cut-offs are 11:00 for 100K, 10:00 for 50K, and 09:00 for the 21K, 10K and 5K fields. That gives the headline ultra runners an 18-hour limit for 100K and 10 hours for 50K.

The course is road-based rather than trail, passing rural lanes, paddy fields and checkpoints around the Sekinchan area before returning to the school race village. The organiser warns that roads are not closed unless specifically stated, so participants must keep to the road shoulder and remain alert to normal vehicle traffic.

Safety requirements are substantial for the longer races. The 100K, 50K and 21K categories require reflective gear and night-visibility equipment, while the 100K and 50K also require hydration capacity and an emergency blanket. A mobile phone must be carried and reachable in every category. Medical stations are provided along the route and at the event site.

All runners can use the event-site bag deposit, and 100K participants receive an additional halfway drop-bag service. Registration closed on 15 September 2026. The official race schedule begins with on-site race-pack collection at noon on Saturday, followed by bag deposit, race briefings and the first ultra start later that afternoon.
