The Maybank Bali Marathon, also referred to as the Bali Marathon, stands as an annual road race celebrated in the picturesque Gianyar Regency on the enchanting island of Bali, Indonesia. Since its revival in 2012, this marathon has become a prominent fixture, uniting running enthusiasts from around the globe. However, the roots of regular marathons on the island trace back to 1999.
Distinguished by its World Athletics Elite Label Road Race status, the Maybank Bali Marathon proudly aligns itself with the esteemed Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. This recognition highlights the event’s commitment to excellence and adherence to global standards. Participants can expect not only a challenging race through the scenic landscapes of Bali but also an experience that epitomizes the spirit of international athletic camaraderie.
Maybank Marathon 2024 will take place at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar, Bali, on August 25, 2024.
Taswin Zakaria, the President Director of Maybank Indonesia, stated that the Bali United Training Center was chosen after considering various inputs and evaluations, particularly regarding parking space. Yabes Tanuri, CEO of Bali United, takes pride in the facilities owned by his team being used for events other than football.
The Maybank Marathon 2024 will feature Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K, and Children Sprint categories with a total prize pool exceeding IDR 2.7 billion. Participants can register through three options, including participating in the Exclusive pre-sales program to secure the first guaranteed running slot. Additionally, registration can be done through the Drawing mechanism from February 19-29, 2024, and finally, through the Special Entries program. Registration is accessible through the Maybank website.
Meanwhile, race pack collection can be done on August 23-24, 2024, at the Bali United Training Center.
