2nd Yokkaichi Minato Run Festival Mie 2027

The second Yokkaichi Minato Run Festival takes place on Sunday 7 February 2027 at Chuo Ryokuchi Athletics Stadium in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. Following its inaugural 2026 edition, this city-and-harbour race welcomes up to 4,500 participants across a 10K, 5K and family-friendly 2K jogging course.

The 10K and 5K start and finish at the stadium. The 10K follows a predominantly flat, Japan Athletics-certified route through central Yokkaichi, turning near City Hall before reaching the port area. Runners can enjoy open waterfront views and glimpses of the historic Suehiro movable railway bridge. The 5K uses a shorter city route, while the 2K jogging event stays within Chuo Ryokuchi Park.

The opening ceremony begins at 09:30 JST. The 5K starts at 10:30, the 10K at 11:20 and the 2K at 13:00. The 10K checkpoint near Second Pier, about 7 km into the race, must be reached within 55 minutes. The 5K checkpoint near Shinsho Station West, about 4 km in, has a 30-minute limit. The 10K has two water stations; the 5K has one. Runners may be stopped briefly at railway crossings, and emergency harbour activity could require a route adjustment.

Register through RUNNET by 28 October 2026, subject to capacity. The organiser posts bibs and timing chips before race day, so there is no on-site collection. Baggage storage is available, excluding valuables. Entries are not transferable and normal cancellation refunds are unavailable.

Shinsho Station and Hinaga Station are each around 15 minutes on foot from the venue. Event parking is reserved for officials; drivers can use limited spaces at Yokkaichi Dome and a free shuttle bus.
