Event Detail

The 38th Fukuroi Crown Melon Marathon in Ecopa takes place on 13 December 2026 in Fukuroi, Shizuoka Prefecture. The established community racing festival uses Ecopa Stadium and surrounding Ogasayama Sports Park, providing a substantial sporting venue and multiple routes for entrants of different ages. The traditional event title contains the word marathon, but the advertised 2026 programme is made up of a 10 km road race, a 5.5 km cross-country race and shorter 3 km and family events. No full marathon is advertised for this edition.

The 5.5 km cross-country race is scheduled for 9:10 am Japan Standard Time and is designed around undulating park terrain. The 3 km events follow in the mid-morning, and the 10 km competition begins at 11:30 am. The 10 km route uses two laps and has an advertised 80-minute time limit. Cross-country entrants should check the latest course notices because wet or unsafe ground may require changes to the normal park route. Separate category rules apply to children and family pairs, and entry fees differ by event.

The race venue is near JR Aino Station, making rail travel a practical option. Runners arriving by car should consult official parking guidance and allow extra time for race-day vehicle access. Entry numbers are capped, with approximately 1,000 places in the 10 km race and 600 in the 5.5 km cross-country event. The official application period is scheduled to close on 19 October 2026, although categories may fill earlier. Bibs and race instructions are distributed in advance; do not rely on registration at the venue on race morning. Consult the organiser's latest athlete materials for check-in, weather arrangements and category-specific rules.
