Event Detail

Izumisano City's online marathon brings its Osaka-area tourism campaign to participants exercising on their own routes across Japan. Rather than travelling to a common starting line, entrants build a marathon-distance total over fourteen days. The city expressly permits walking as well as running.

Recording the challenge

Accumulate at least 42.195 km from 26 October to 8 November 2026. Several sessions can be combined; there is no requirement to run a continuous marathon. Use TATTA with the same RUNNET account used for registration, and check that this event appears after payment is confirmed.

The accepted activity types are Running, Trail Run and Walking. Cycling and Hiking records do not count, and manual distance entry is generally not accepted. Connect any compatible GPS watch beforehand and synchronise its activities into TATTA within the event period. Activities crossing the opening or closing date boundary are excluded.

Eligibility and entry choices

Participation from outside Japan is expressly prohibited. Applicants need a compatible smartphone and their own RUNNET registration; family or group registration through another person's account is not supported.

Choose either course A or course B when entering. These are participant-prize options for the same cumulative distance, not different physical routes. Course A has no age restriction, while course B is limited to people aged 20 or older. Each is capped at 500 entries, with registration closing earlier if capacity is reached. The advertised final deadline is 19 October at 23:59 Japan time.

Practical information

The organiser recommends checking TATTA recording before entry. Keep activity maps private or visible only to friends where appropriate. Participant accident insurance is not included. Follow the organiser's emailed instructions for delivery and completion confirmation; no collection venue or guaranteed dispatch date was verified in the published material.

Race Pack Information

Participant instructions are sent by email. A Senshu towel is included, and a certificate is provided after the cumulative target is achieved. Confirm domestic dispatch arrangements with the city; no exact dispatch date or common collection venue was verified. Overseas participation is prohibited.
