Pakse Half Marathon 2026

Pakse Half Marathon 2026 returns to southern Laos on Sunday, 8 November, with a three-distance road-running programme based at Champasak Grand Hotel in Pakse. The event offers a 21K half marathon, 14K race and 5K run, bringing together competitive runners and recreational participants in one of the country's main southern cities.

The 2026 event is being positioned as a larger, more internationally focused edition. Lao state media reported that the previous event exceeded its participation target with around 1,500 runners, while more than 500 entries had already been recorded for the 2026 race by July. The course identity is closely tied to Pakse's Mekong setting, with organisers highlighting a bridge section that gives runners views across both sides of the river.

Race-day activities are scheduled from 05:00 to 10:00. The start and finish area is at the Champasak Grand Hotel grounds, placing runners close to the Mekong and the city's main river crossings. Current-edition materials confirm the three race distances and a regular registration period running through 2 November, subject to capacity.

Race-pack collection is mandatory on Saturday, 7 November from 10:00 to 18:00 at the same Champasak Grand Hotel venue. Entrants should complete collection before race morning and check the organiser's final notices for any late operational changes. Current participant materials include the event shirt and finisher medal, with an additional finisher shirt for the 21K category.
