Event Detail
Larian Hari Keputeraan Sultan Nazrin Shah is one of Perak’s established annual mass-participation road races, staged as part of celebrations for the birthday of Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah. The 2026 event returns to Dataran Pavilion in the royal town of Kuala Kangsar on Sunday, 22 November with 15K, 10K and 7K races. Recent editions demonstrate the event’s scale: more than 9,500 people took part in 2025, while the 2024 edition attracted more than 12,000 participants.
The 15K starts first at 6:45am MYT, followed by the 10K and 7K at 7:00am. The 15K has Men’s and Women’s Open divisions for runners aged 16 and above, plus Men’s Veteran from age 40 and Women’s Veteran from age 35. The 10K Open divisions start from age 13, while the 7K Open races are available from age 10. The current registration portal shows all published categories as sold out.
Separate official route maps are published for each distance. Current event rules state that partial road closures on the route are lifted four hours after commencement, with cut-offs at designated checkpoints. Participants who start more than 15 minutes after their category flag-off may be disqualified, and runners must keep their assigned bib visible. Competitive 10K and 15K winners are determined by gun time, while net time is used for overall ranking.
Race pack collection is at Dewan Jubli Perak, Kuala Kangsar: 19 and 20 November from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and 21 November from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Participants must bring their confirmation slip and identification; authorised representative collection is permitted with the documents specified by the organiser. Race packs include the bib and timing chip, event T-shirt and any applicable sponsored items. Finishers receive a medal and e-certificate. The organiser also publishes a prize schedule for eligible competitive-category winners.
The event rules name Pejabat Daerah Kuala Kangsar as organiser, M5 Event Sdn Bhd as co-organiser, with support from Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Kangsar.
