Maesa is a sports group deeply rooted in the Kawanua community since 1924, epitomizing the spirit of togetherness and competitive drive while upholding the values of sportsmanship.
On January 15, 2001, the Maesa Sports Association (POR Maesa) was honored with the Eka Prakarsa Bhakti Olahraga award by the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) in recognition of the organization’s dedication to sports since 1924. This dedication has yielded admirable achievements and has honored Indonesian national sports.
Maesa Run is one of the events organized by the Athletics branch within the Maesa Sports Association, often referred to as OICO Athletics (Athletics Branch Sports Organization). Maesa Run 10K and 5K, along with the Family Fun Walk, are part of the centennial celebration of Maesa known as Maesa Centenary Sports Week.
Maesa Run will take place at the Jakarta International Equestrian Park (JIEP), located in Pacuan Kuda Pulomas, East Jakarta, on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The event is expected to be attended by over five thousand participants, with a total prize worth Two Hundred and Eight Million Rupiah.
In addition to the running races, the event will be enlivened with various other entertainments, such as Kawanua arts and cultural performances, bazaars, culinary delights, stand-up comedy, live music, and Line Dance. The event will run from 05:00 to 18:00 WIB, as part of the celebration of the Maesa Sports Association’s centennial anniversary.
