Bentong Monsoon Marathon 2026

Bentong Monsoon Marathon 2026 is a three-distance road endurance event staged from Padang Sekolah Janda Baik in Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang on Saturday, 28 November 2026. Organised by Majlis Perbandaran Bentong, the event has a published capacity of 3,000 runners and offers 42K, 21K and 12K races through the hilly Janda Baik, Bukit Tinggi and Genting Sempah area.

The official route map shows all three races starting and finishing in Janda Baik. The 12K stays around the local Janda Baik roads, while the 21K extends towards Bukit Tinggi and the 42K continues beyond it towards Genting Sempah before returning. The organiser describes this as a road run rather than a trail race, with the monsoon-season setting forming part of the challenge. Current event artwork explicitly advises runners to expect rain and cooler conditions.

Race day begins early. The 42K starts at 1:30 am with an eight-hour cut-off, the 21K starts at 4:30 am with a four-hour cut-off, and the 12K starts at 7:00 am with a two-hour cut-off. Normal entry fees were RM130 for 42K, RM110 for 21K and RM80 for 12K. The event is now shown as registration closed on the current Howei listing.

Published entitlements include a race bib, timing chip, event T-shirt, e-certificate, finisher medal, insurance and medical support, refreshments and water stations. The 42K and 21K also include a finisher T-shirt. Official 2026 prize artwork advertises more than RM70,000 in total cash prizes, with trophies and cash awards extending through the top 10 in the published competitive categories.

The current route map is particularly useful for travelling runners because it shows the shared Janda Baik start and finish, the Bukit Tinggi section used by the longer races and the 42K extension towards Genting Sempah. Race-pack collection details are not currently published on the event page, so participants should rely on the organiser's final instructions for collection logistics.
