Childhood Cancer Charity Run 2026

Childhood Cancer Charity Run 2026 is a community 5K event organised by Lions Club of Kajang to support awareness and fundraising for families affected by childhood cancer. The physical event is scheduled for Sunday 22 November at Taman Tasik Cempaka, a lakeside recreation park in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. The organiser says part of the proceeds will be donated to selected charities, which have not yet been named.

The event opens at 6:30am Malaysia time, with the physical 5K flagged off at 7:30am. It is open to participants of all ages and follows a designated course within the event area. The published information gives an 11:00am programme finish, although another category note mentions 11:30am. The exact start point, course map and aid-station arrangements remain unconfirmed.

The same event also offers a 5K virtual participation category from 1 September to 31 October 2026. Virtual entrants may complete their distance in one outing or accumulate it across multiple walks or runs, using activity records from a watch, GPS tracker or fitness app as evidence. The virtual category is not a second in-person race.

Registration opened on 1 September and closes on 1 November at 11:59pm MYT. The normal advertised fee is RM88 per category, excluding administration fees, following an earlier RM68 tier. Current event materials show an event shirt and medal. Participants should consult the organiser for final race-pack collection details and event-day instructions before travelling.
