CNY Angpao Run Kuching 2027

CNY Angpao Run Kuching 2027 is a Lunar New Year community road event organised by the Sarawak Basketball Association and supported by event sponsor Tay Motors. The morning programme is scheduled for Sunday, 24 January at Seng Goon Basketball Court in Kuching, with activity running from 6:15am to 9:30am MYT.

Participants can choose the recreational 3K or 5K categories, while the 10K has separate men’s and women’s divisions. Registration was offered through a flexible package system, allowing runners to select bib-only entry or add the event shirt, finisher medal or both. The organiser states that refreshments and an angpao are included across all categories.

Current-edition promotional material uses a Year of the Goat theme and also advertised a limited plushie allocation for early registrants. The registration platform now marks the event closed even though the original poster listed 30 November 2026 as the entry deadline, indicating that available places may have filled early.

Race-pack collection is scheduled for Saturday, 23 January from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with the venue still to be confirmed. Current sources do not yet publish route maps, category-specific cut-offs, timing arrangements, aid-station details or road-closure information, so runners should check the organiser’s final instructions before race weekend.
